This roughness is actually VERY captivating. There's just something about it that's so traditional and reminds me of works by Jean Singer Sargent. Do you take influence from him by any chance? Either way, very nice and simple. I really like the creatures at the back though, and it'd really help if I could see them a bit better. I mean, their huge contrast to rest of the compostition leaves them responsible for the central focus of the piece. Also, the greenery in the foreground on the bottom right seems too blurred out yet its really close to the lens. I think that should be a bit more clear if anything.
Overall, its fun to look at and I really like it! Keep going!
I cut off the top of the picture. It is unnecessary. The weapon is too long. More light in the background. That's my opinion, correction. Cool is this bright green. Although we do not know where this light. Overall, the picture great. Cool split plans. A nice painterly.
